Jonni's isn't really a quote so much as a conversation. John made apple pie tonight (sort of), and we were talking about that, when out of nowhere Jonni said, " If I had an easy bake oven, and a recipe, I could make cookies." We digested that for a moment, and then she said, "And now I'm imagining my birthday...." lol!
And Erik said to me tonight, "Mommy, when you have a little boy, you get to play with Lego's." He's totally right, and that is totally the reason I had boy. Don't tell me you haven't thought about it...or done it. We all know the truth.

Ha! The quest for an Easy Bake oven is a right of passage for every little girl. Sometimes the times just don't change!
I have to agree about the Legos. Having kids was a perfect excuse for me to extend my Lego playing by about 13 years. I'm thinking I should have some more kids soon since mine should be outgrowing Legos any day now.
I always thought easy bake ovens were LAME. My mom was pretty good about teaching me the basics of baking so I could just use the kitchen.
Legos? Hmmm, maybe we should get some more legos for Vance. Yeah, for Vance, that's the ticket!
oh man, timpani, for several years in a row, that's ALL I WANTED! just an easy bake oven, was that so much to ask? lol!! but i gotta say, the legos thing, totally true. ;)

Lydia had one and I HATED it. It was a big hassle and a mess for one tiny little cup of stuff. Real baking is totally the way to go!
