Okay everyone, this will sad and hard for some, and for others, please restrain your cheering and jumping. We don't want to alarm anyone in the neighborhood.
John and I were offered, and we have accepted, a job in the St. Louis area. Our start date is Tuesday May 6th, which means we have about a month left in the Peoria area.
It was a really good offer, and a really good job, so we are very happy and excited, although we will sorely miss the friends we have made while living in this area. Keep in touch! I will continue with my blogging, so that is one very easy way to keep up!
Anyone who is willing will be totally welcome to throw us a party. We wouldn't mind at all. Really.
So wish us luck in this new adventure, and we wish you all the best in the days to come!
The Almighty Liz

Where exactly in the St. Louis area? Are we talking about the actual St. Louis area or that one down by six flags where you will still be an hour an a half away? I just want to know how much I should be cheering.
it's the one in pacific, and it's not an hour and half away. it took john and i 50 min to drive from mary's house, and on the way back was a little longer cause we hit the rush hour traffic and some hefty weather, but yeah, it's really not that bad a drive. so go ahead and cheer! i say anyway. of course, i've been driving two and half hours to see my family for over three years, so my judgement is a little lopsided. whatever, it's closer!!
you can't move yet any way. we just had general confrence, so you have to wate 6 more months right?
that's funny, i'd already thought of that. but we accepted on a general conference weekend, so that counts, right?
No! It's starting already--by the time we finally get back to Peoria, there will be none of my friends left there!! :-(
Sigh. No, but seriously, I am glad for you guys. Just selfishly sad for me.
aw emily, we'll always have blogging. :)
I was happy this morning and now I am sad. I love you Liz and your family. I am actually starting to cry. I will miss you and of course we will have a party for you. I hope you will come to visit us sometimes.
no crying people!
hey, im the one should be crying. i have to help them move. again. and then they are moving back closer to me. i think i need to throw my back out again, what weekend are you moving?
Yeah, I agree with Bruce. We're the ones who have to do all the heavy lifting. And I can't even pull the pregnancy card like Renae!
Just kidding, I actually like helping people move. Though, I prefer packing the boxes to lifting them onto the truck. Groooaaannn.
pack away then sista, i need all the help i can get with this one! it's almost as bad as last time, when i was eight months pregnant and on bed rest....okay, it's not that bad, but bad enough.
Oh! I hope I get a chance to work on your yard. I love landscaping and gardening stuff!
ok first off timp, freek. i meen yard work come on. next i may try to come up soon. when is johns current employment up. talk to me people i need to plan.
This is Karen. Yay! You're coming our way! Where will you live??
I'm excited that you guys are moving so much closer to me. Now instead of being 2,120 miles away, you're going to be a mere 2,098 miles away!
Drop by my house for a cup of sugar any day!
hey brad finally showed up on my illustrious blog! i'm so honored. (and, truthfully, and mite frightened) and that sugar offer goes both ways! and welcome karen! i know lots of karens, however, are you the former rs pres of my old ward? or are you my sister's age and i'm friends with your whole family? come on, i need a hint!! and we dunno where we are gonna live yet. we wanted to live in the same town that john is working in, but the rent is RIDICULOUS!! so we are trying to hammer that out. i'll post it when we know!
FINALLY?? I'll have you know I've been lurking on your blog for DAYS now. I'm going to refrain from admitting that I've read every word on your blog, though, so Bruce doesn't call me a jobless hobo again.
Jobless Hobo!
I dont think he actually called you that but its a good one. I think i will add it to the Daily Insult Circulation.
Ive had all kinds of ideas for insults today BTW
J
