Tagged Again!

Well, once again I have been Tagged. By Emily this time. Geez, I must be a popular girl!! So, here is some more opportunity to get to know me a little bit better. The only reason I'm doing this again is for all you people out there. I know how much you cherish every little bit of information about me, so I try to oblige where I can. Here we go!

"I've Been Tagged" Rules: Answer these 8 questions and tag 5 people.

1. What was I doing 10 years ago?
Um, let's see, I was nineteen...so I was just enrolling and getting ready to start my first semester of college, and I do believe I was still the head cook at the cafeteria in our County Courthouse. John and I had been dating roughly a year, more or less.
2. Five things on my to do list?
A. Get well.
B. Get Jonni's school supplies. (as soon as her school mails me the list)
C. Exercise.
D. Eat better.
E. Take omnipresent meds.
3. Snacks I enjoy?
My favorite all-time snack is Chex Mix. Mmmm, I can totally eat a whole big bag by myself. And anything chocolate. Of course.
4. If I were a Billionaire what would I do?
Pay off all of my debt, and maybe help some family members with theirs. Build mine and John's dream home. Never work again. (for John) Give a hefty amount to Fast Offerings at church. Finish School. (all three degrees that I want, maybe four. Culinary, Psychology, Profiling, and Dental Assisting.) See the World, gosh darn it!!! Especially the ocean. Any ocean.
5. Three Bad Habits?
I chew my cuticles incessantly. I'm the worst procrastinator on the planet. I stay up too late far too often. (and my husband says not eating breakfast is one)
6. Places I've lived?
Illinois, and for the past couple of months, Missouri. (I am super exciting, huh?)
7. Five jobs I've had?
Fast food. I worked at a veterinary clinic doing all the gross dirty jobs no one wants to do. I was head cook at a cafeteria. I worked in a latch-key program for the YMCA. Then I was a Dental Assistant before I was a Mom.
8. Five things many people don't know about me?
I think the left side is evil. (to the point where I will do silly things like put my left shoe on first so I end on the right, not the left) I'm terrified of bridges. I think teeth are neat-o. I'm actually dang shy, but getting good at hiding it. I have one blue eye, and one that is three-quarters brown, and one quarter blue.

Well ladies and gents, that's it for now. (and I don't care who tags me, I'm not doing this again for awhile. I feel like a big braggart) I'll be posting something more soon that has to do with what I've actually been up to lately. Sorry I haven't been posting, I know how hard that is on everyone. We've just been uber busy here in the our little household, and I've been uber worn out. (there was some sickness there too. nothing too bad for me, but Erik was mighty sick last week. more on that later) I hope you enjoyed your little tidbits about myself, so until next time, keep your eye on the sky (it's been super rainy here), and your feet on the ground!
The Almighty Liz
PS and I'm not tagging anybody else. I tagged just about everyone I know the last time.

Liz, come visit me when we get our new house. Jeremy's parents told me we're about 3 hours from a decent beach. I know GA isn't renowned for their beaches, but you did say you wanted to see ANY ocean, and we sure do have one. Also, we're not far from Pensacola or Destin. Nice places.

Ok, can you elaborate on the left thing? That got me really curious. Do you sleep on the left side of the bed? Do you think left handed people are to be avoided? Are there some things you refuse to do with your left hand even if you could?

i actually do sleep on the left side of the bed, but only because of the way our bedroom is configurated. if i slept on the other side, then john would have to climb over me when he got up in the morning, and that would be annoying. i don't think left handed people are evil or anything. it basically harks from my tender childhood, and i have no idea where i got the idea, but i actually used to have a talking right and left side in my head, and the left side was evil. when i eat, i make sure i chew last on the right side. i try not to do things with my left hand. (which is partly because my left hand is usless dexterity wise). stuff like that.
and dana, they actually have a name for bridge fear. it's an actual established phobia. but i forget the name. that made me feel a little less silly. :)

Hey Liz, I hate bridges too! I'm not terrifed of them or anything, but I hate them! And driving over them is another story altogether. I have actually made someone else drive over a bridge and then get out and switch on the other side. It's pretty pathetic. Go ahead and tell me... I know.

lol! trisha, i've never done that, but i've sure wanted too! fear of being made fun of won that battle though. and man, i they just terrify my. especially the ones that you can't see to the other side, you know what i'm talking about? their curvature is such that there is a point when all the cars in front of you look like they just fall into oblivion. *shudder* those are the worst. i've had nightmares about bridges my whole stinkin' life. i'll be on one, and all of a sudden, there's no more bridge and i plunge to my death. or the bridge starts to spiral down, and down and down, and it suddenly comes out in a swift moving river and there's no where else to go, and traffic behind me drives me in, and the worst thing is that everyone ELSE has no problem with driving their car into deep swift river. ugh! i'm creeping myself out! i'm stopping! it's nice to know though that i'm not alone. maybe you have to have spent at least part of your childhood in the south. ;)

How silly of me! How, how, how could I forget TXF!! Have you seen the movie?! I'm dying to talk about it w/ someone.

I have dreams about plunging to my death via collapsing bridge...

When I was little we lived in Florida and one of the major bridges we traveled on did collapse. I've never recovered and yes I think a person has live in or near the South to fully appreciate our fear. There are few very big bridges out here in the West.

The bridge that collapsed in Minneapolis would have had my sister on it if she had gotten the 2nd job she interviewed instead of the first.

I still freaked out when I saw it since I had driven with Danielle on her interviews and I did not remember that she did not need to drive over that bridge for her job, I just remember driving over the bridge while I was there with her.
I almost had a heart attack when we got back from wherever we were all day and I saw on Yahoo! news the bridge collapse in Minneapolis.

Bridges do collapse, it's a valid fear. My fear of pitch black is just silly though. I really feel like I can't breathe when it is totally black somewhere.

dana, you were actually ON a bridge that collasped??!! and you're still ALIVE!!? my goodness, that's just about the most horrible thing i can think of! just about anyway. and nope, i haven't seen txf movie yet. there are soooo many good movies out this summer, and sooooo little money!! twilight this saturday!

I wasn't on it when it collapsed but I was close. However I did have to go across it during the reconstruction phase. That's really what freaked me right on out!

All I can say about bridges is Lake Ponchatrain.... longest flippin' bridge I've ever seen. And there's nothing on either side. It's like a bridge over the ocen. Forget car trouble. It's 2 lanes. You're just out of luck if you need to stop for anything at all. Scariest thing ever!!! And I didn't even drive over that one, I was just a passenger! I love New Orleans, but that's just too much for me! :-)

Ok girls... I'm working on my shirt for the party this weekend. I made Emmaly's (my neice) yesterday, and I'm working on mine tonight. I'll post some pics when they're both finished! I'm soooooo excited!!!!!!!

lizS said...

ooooo, i'm so jealous of the t-shirts!! are you girls going to the midnight opener parties? two more days!! wooooohooooo!!
ps i'm not going on that bridge trisha. ever.
and i hate hate HATE going on bridges under construction. ick.

I drove over a really long (like Lake Ponchatrain long) bridge in San Diego a few weeks back. I have to have someone talking to me nonstop as I drive so I don't think about it.

Strangely enough though I find bridges absolutely beautiful! They amaze me but frighten me all at the same time... I may have to blog about bridges at some future date.

I don't know what to say to all you crazy neurotic people. There is nothing that weird about me. I am fully normal! (Here comes the part where Liz reminds me of every little thing that makes me a psychopath! Ok, she won't, but she totally could. That's what makes her such an awesome friend!) Actually, I am mildly afraid of bridges. I have a fear that I'll drive into the water and won't be able to get my kids unbuckled and out of the car fast enough. My kids' safety is my biggest fear where bridges are concerned.
