How was everyone's Memorial Day? I hope we all remembered what the holiday is for, at least briefly.
Mine was fine. I spent it chasing after a bored little boy because my husband took off for the north to work on our superfluous house and took our car and my daughter and I couldn't find the cables to hook up our vcr/dvd player, and it was raining, and our connection to the net is too slow to use the instant browser option on the netflix website. (how's that for a run-on, Timpani?) John did, however, bring our books home from his mom's last weekend, so I wasn't entirely without things to do. Only Erik didn't have anything to do.
We are settling in here at our house. We like it so much better than our old one. Not that our old one was bad, we had just so entirely outgrown it! Everyone LOVES having their own room! John and I can hang out in our room now! It's great for the old love life.
We did some yardsaling last Saturday (or, I did, John's contribution was to watch the kids.), and I picked up some much needed items, like couches, and got some great deals on things that weren't needed per se, but were really cheap and would be very useful to have. Like a reel lawn mower for $5. We are loving having somewhere to sit! So, even though we are not totally unpacked (and that could take several years at the rate we are going) now that we have places to sit, we are ready for visitors!! *hint hint* So if anyone wants to come see us...
My sister is going to have her baby today! She's being induced, much to her disappointment. At least the wait is over, though! And she's totally miserable, as is everyone after nine months of pregnancy, so she's ready!
Well, that's all for today. Nothing momentous, I'm just trying to be better about posting more regularly. Your welcome.
The Almighty Liz

it takes 9 months to be miserable? renae has been complaining for at least the past three and she still has one more to go. you know i did not get anny of my stuff back,(like my lawn mower) what gives. did he get to mow at the old place yesterday?
I think Renae may be suffering more from "brokenribcantrunitis" than from the actual pregnancy.
I was usually only miserable the last 2-3 weeks when I looked like there was a torpedo about to come out of me.
talk to john about it bruce. i think your mower is the green car at our in-laws. and i dunno about your charger, and your clothes are being washed. suck it up.
and virginia HAS been miserable the whole pregnancy, but the past month or so she has also swelled up like the stay puffed marshmellow man. seriously, i saw her on saturday. she's been border line preeclamtia the whole pregnancy, so she's very very very swollen. she doesn't even look real poor thing. so, hurrah, she's having the baby today! i told my dad that i think God does this on purpose. makes the last month of pregnancy as awful as we can stand it so we don't have time to worry about the upcoming and unavoidable PAIN in our near futures.
Pregnancy is torture from start to finish. The last few months are just more so than any other. Except maybe the beginning...I lost 24 pounds already with this one...couldn't keep ANYTHING down. Oh well, there's a great payoff at the end!

great payoff? that's debatable...
oh yeah, and the hospital was full, so virginia has to wait for tomorrow! let's toss a few prayers in the air for her!!
Thanks for remembering us Liz. We appreciate the regular posts.:)
Bless your sister's heart! I'll be praying.
Hope you find your vcr/dvd cables soon!
Love ya!
K, Liz, I'm finally commenting!
I hope that your sister's delivery goes smoothly. I know inductions are not pleasant (not from personal experience of course, but I hear...). I'll keep her in my prayers.
Glad you're settling into your new place. Maybe I'll be able to visit sometime... if I can figure out where you are!! LOL!
i was just asking, dont have a cow. i think the charger is in the green car too. big J was supposed to bring it to me but did not. renae just now told me all this.
okay, moose, you're forgiving. for now. :)
and virginia went into labor on her own this morning! about 3am, and as of an hour and half ago, she was five cm dialated, epiduraled, feeling pretty good, and progressing well! the doctor thinks anytime now! yaaaay!!! thanks for the prayers, they worked!! (as usual)
and welcome trisha! nice to have you in my little entourage. :)!!
oh, and i did find my vcr/dvd cables! john helped, and now, i'm going to get a shower. (the only way i can get one if john is not here. my children are too curious and busy for my house's health)
Congrats on the new neice and the dvd cables!!!
